ALHAMDULILLAH =)

Done the final stage interview . And it is such a great unforgettable experience ever. First of all thanks for those who read my blog I meant my entries . And to those who wait patiently for the updates . Let’s just start , for the first day it is a briefing session on what going to happened and being asked during the interview.

FIRST DAY

I came early . yeah it’s the first day of course we are trying to give the best impression isn’t it? As I entered the office, I saw a group of people sitting together I knew they are attending the SRD too. Hehe actually I was just assuming. I went to them and yes you! E Jet! E Jet is one of the candidates too. You know what he is a silent reader of my blog . hikhikhik. He said “ Do you write blog?”

I replied “Yes”. Then me started to mingle with them. As I want to introduce myself E Jet said “You’re from Malacca right.”

Then they laughed. Allisya said “He is a very loyal stalker .”

Me said “How come you can recognized me ?” . “I remembered your picture in your blog .” Okayh..

Everybody started to nervous yeah a lot of butterflies in our stomach. There is 12 of  us . supposed to be . 3 Malay girls,1 Indian girl and others are Chinese boys. We were brought into a room. And this beautiful Lady Marry Anne is the one who responsible to interviewed and explained all of the things regard to this with the aid of her assistant Michael Lau. We were given a copy of slideshow, case study on Moldana country to be discuss on and yeah the pencils , highlighters what not.

Then we are divided into few small group. And me here a bit passive. Seriously . actually I am try to adapt with the group even I felt ignorance. Am I to silent ? hmm but me think positive. It just a briefing session but the real you should do better.

Almost 11 we ended the session.

SECOND DAY

 THIS IS THE IMPORTAT DAY ! BUT ME………….WAS LATE!

Just imagine how that felt.. I supposed to be there on time 12 pm . I drove out with my aunt at 10.30 am from Sg Buloh. But as I opened the gate.. something happened to. I throw up suddenly. It hurts. I’ve to rush. I wonder what happened to. I felt no nervous at first but why I ‘m throwing up. My aunt began to worried. She asked if I can go to the interview. Me said I don’t know. Then we stopped by to re-breakfast. I wanted some porridge but as I eat I ‘ll throw up. Even on the wat before we stopped by I throw up again. Twice. Me so weak so tired. And we were caught in traffic jam . Aunt felt much worried as we supposed reach there on time but we have been late for 30 mins.

As we reached there , as me entering the room everybody felt relieved said Zheng Xi . Allisya thought I forgot and asking everybody who have my number. Sorry . And Amira thought I was there.. much earlier than them. Right on time Michael came brought us to the waiting room . Allisya was the first candidate to start.

For this interview you are not needed to bring anything unless yourself!

      First you are giving one hour preparation time to study the case of Aduki country

*finding the key issues, your goals for long term , middle term and short term

      Next you are given only 5 minutes to present the key issues and your goals =) only 5 minutes

*just list the important one as you will find a lot of issues in the case study

      20 minutes for the interviewer to ask you questions on your presentation

*be careful while giving your opinions and while answering the questions. The interviewer will jotted down everything she listened

      Lastly grouping sessions to decide which proposal should be proposed to Shell

*they want to see how you work in group how relevant your ideas.

As reminder believe me the one hour given to you for preparation is not enough not at all!

Same goes to 5 minutes presentation. They give you case study of 5 pages for briefing session 20 minutes to find the key issues and set goals. But the real is much tougher!

25 pages I guess. In one hour . a lot of issues. A lot! Huahahaha.

Me felt that it is so thankful to be in this stage even I can’t get the scholars . out of 7000 thousands applicants less than 1000 has been shortlisted for the phone interview, out of that only 400 is shortlisted for the interview *this final one!* . and at last they just want 70 students only . 20 for overseas and 50 for local universities. Just guess what! I am fighting for the overseas. And I felt so humble among them. Hmm

Pray for me =)

They said we will be informed by the end of April.

Yeahh the last you are not allowed to bring anything even your draft and what not out from the room! It is confidential! And me can’t tell more =) that’s all.

First of all me never expected to write the entry on this because i thought i won't be able to do so.

but there is no other words to describe how smooth Allah planned for us .

Alhamdulillah. Seriously i was about to give on this.  but He send me someone from far to make me realize that He will always be there. 

A new friend from Egypt , kept reminding me , do you pray? are you keep praying for this scholarship? Alhamdulillah , i've waited so long with patience H e give me this opportunities again.  I was about to get ready for my Physics last final paper! wuyeahhh! haha then the phone ringing i thought it was an alarm  yet it is an alarm from Allah to make me realize that He heard my prayers my parents' and my friends' too.

at the same time He send me so many people around me to keep cheering me. be happy with my achievements . send people to laugh and cry with me . to help me. 

May Allah ease people who ease others , especially those who helped me a lot . Jazakallahu khairan khatirann.

too long intro but still can't describe how thankful I am to Allah. 

well the interview will be on this coming Monday and Tuesday . yes a few days more. i've to stay at my uncle house and yes start googling and preparing myself . as Allah has give me this opportunity again I've to work harder ! if i passed this then In shaa Allah I'll be studying overseas just like how i dreamt it to be,. Pray for me.

it will be held at Shell House Damansara. Now Adderly and Elmansy are helping me to be well prepared. They help me from UK and Egypt, thanks for being so kind to me. May you both be blessed.

Shell's Phone Interview -First stage

Wow!! Even me myself was really surprised to hear this thing. its beyond my expectation. Allah always have surprise for us.

 The call was yesterday telling me that i am qualified for the first round interview. owhh i was just like what???! can't believe it of course.. as I am never expecting this!

ALHAMDULILLAH.

thanks to Allah for this surprise. 

Of course i felt glad then she asked me *the interviewer is an Indian woman.. very kind *

"when would you like to have the interview?"

*at that time i was just woke up from qhailullah *a short nap* *

"owh wait ..*trying to think and yes the coming week is full of tasks and tests haaha and suddenly i said * how about tomorrow?" 

*owh men its crazy i never expect that i'll say that thing*

"sure , is it in the morning or when?" she asked me .

" hmm i guess how about after the lunch hour?"

"sure at 3.00 pm. we'll call you. anything to ask before i go?''

and i asked her a few things .

of course *macam cacing kepanasan* *gelisah here and there*

i called my beloved mom tell about this then of bestfriend dunia akhirat Fara, Baz, Syasya , Acap . Nana and i am asking help from Juki too.

i told Choyy because he also applied for this scholarship.

thanks to Allah of giving me these great friends.

Last evening at 3.03 pm she called me. Got some problem wit the line but then everything turns to be okay.

The interview session is divided into three part.

1. Background and Yourself

• your great achievement that you are proud of *only one*
• challenges you faces *refer to the achievements*
• your strengths
• what can you develop for the future *all regards to your achievements*

2.Relationship

• have you ever been in a misunderstanding situation?
• how did you overcome that?
• during school, you have to speak to different people of different ranks. how do you speak to different types of people? what are your strategies?

3.Capacity*will be same questions for next year i guess and similar to last year*

• Business Competitors
• Leadership Development
• CO2 Emition
• *i can't remember*

to others who get this opportunity i wish all of you best of luck.!! its a great experience being interviewed by great company like Shell.

 lastly Q and A.

before ended the session she told me if i am shortlisted they'll send me an e-mail by this end of February and another interview to be attend and it is face to face! and she asked if i wish to ask her questions then i asked
"Miss, do you think I've chance in this interview?"

and what she laugh and said 
"I can't answer that, but I'll give you opportunity. You did very well. I felt your confidence. *ayat macam nak sedapkan hati je kan hahaha* just wait the e-mail. "

takpelah like i said to everybody kalau ada rezeki in shaa Allah tak ke mana.

i don't expect to much because this already make me thankful. ALHAMDULILLAH.

forgot to say a lot of thanks to this unknown guy, he helped me a lot let just know him as Adderly.
He was the last year final stage's candidate for Shell's scholarship. According to him he saw my comment on someone post in their blog and wish to help me and he did help me a lot. He is now furthering his study in Holloway Royal University of London.
